Here at All in the Details we are most passionate about giving couples a beautiful wedding that reflects their style and personality. You don't have to sacrifice quality or style when working within a budget. We will work with you using cost saving tips and creative ideas to give you the wedding you envision.

We have a wealth of ideas and tips from years of experience in working within budgets. Below we have provided you with some of those helpful cost saving tips.

COST SAVING TIPS

Floral
Order flowers that are in season. Find centerpiece and bouquet designs that you like and make them with your friends. Buy your flowers and supplies at a reputable floral warehouse. Add items such as ting ting, feathers or ornaments to give your floral that upscale feel. Then have a floral arrangement party with friends and family two nights before the wedding. Be sure to practice making the arrangements before the party. Consult your floist on ways to keep your flowers fresh until your wedding day.

Dress
Check out bridal warehouses. You can find designer gowns for $800 and they have new selections coming in weekly. Another option is ebay if you find the dress of your dreams but the price isn't in your budget. Start searching early and have patience. Eventually that perfect dress will pop up. Also don't limit yourself to size. Remember that an experienced seamstress can take a size 10 into a size 6.

Food

Always find out what fruits and veggies are in season. Build your dinner around this to save on cost. Another trend and huge cost saving tip (lucky for the bride on a budget) is to have a buffet of heavy o'dourves. You save by not having to pay servers while it also gets your guests up and mingling.

Music
Ask the venue you are using if it's possible to hook up an I-Pod to their sound system. Download a mix of tunes making sure to mix in old, new, fast and slow music. Ask a responsible friend to be in charge of this task and stop it at times for toasts, cutting of the cake, etc. This will save hundreds, even thousands of dollars.

Name Cards
Your name cards should reflect your theme. Always look to nature for free and unique ideas. For the fall gather leaves a few days before your wedding and write the name of your guests with a silver or gold pen. Another option is river rocks. At Christmas you can buy mini - ornaments and attach to a piece of folded card stock. Print each guests name on the card stock and you have a namecard and favor all in one.

Favors
Think of your favorite sweets as a child and ask your mother or grandmother to help you make them. Wrap them in colored celophane (the thick kind you purchase at a craft store) and tie with ribbon or raffeta. Then emblish with a charm. This will save you money and give your guest a sweet treat to enjoy after the party. Another option is to always donate to your favorite charity in lue of favors. This allows you to donate a specified amount over a certain amount of time instead of taking a chunk of funds in the middle of wedding planning.

Lighting
Even for the bride on a budget lighting is a must. Combined with your colors it creates a unique feel to your event that gives it  that pulled together look. By renting uplighting (par cans), you can wash the walls with just enough color that it will transform your space into an evening everyone will remember.

Budget
Keep track of all of your expenses on Excel or similar software. If you don't have excel most library computers do. Take a few minutes each week to stop by your local library and use its resources to keep track of your wedding funds.

Remember that during wedding planning the library can be a source of great information. Research not only wedding planning but design ideas as well. Even the bride on a budget deserves the wedding of her dreams.
